We made some minor changes to our piece one of them for example is when ven and jets gets knocked out and ven wakes up he asks jet what happened and jet tells this story of how heroic he was then ven see through his lie and asks him what really happened and jet told the truth this transition nicely to the next scene. Another minor change we did was when bad guy rabs was telling his backstory he was quiet at first and then ven and jet tells him to say it louder then bad guy rabs shouts it i think this change adds character to the villain of the story.
We also made costumes for ven and jet for ven I roughly based it on the eight year old costume party we did earlier so it was a white suit, cape, white fedora and a white mask. For jets we found a pilot suit with a cape and a helmet that doesn’t fit him jabs and i talked about how we make a joke about how it doesn’t fit but we later went against because it would have ruined the pacing and slowed things down. reason why jabs is using all this pilot gear is because his name is jets like jet the plane this a funny little detail that some audience member might catch on to.
another change we did was when jets and ven hear about the reason why bad guy rabs is bad that he is too short and got rejected jabs does a little laugh and everyone looks at him in judgment then jets shifts the blame on the president and everyone looks at her. this is a really funny bit that can get a lot of laughs from the audience. another little change we did was when ever the president wanted to talk to someone she would try to move her chair to them which is really funny and it give Lauren more funny things to do and say because of our huge personalities she gets overshadowed by us sometimes any opportunity for her character to express herself is good.
what we need to remember next time is to make things more natural acting is reacting and once a character says a line i need to be ready with it immediately because right now it is not natural therefore is does not feel real.
